Welcome to my newest blog, hopefully one not to fall by the wayside.
I’ve been managing to dedicate myself to photography for a year solid now, which is a major record for me. I’ve started to put images for sale on my online portfolio, and am planning to do some stock photography there. I’ve run into major limits with the gear I have, but I am on a shoestring budget (what can I say, kids are even more important to me than my photography) so I’m working with what I’ve got.
The major dedication of this blog, at least for the next year, is to chronicle my 52 photowalks project. Essentially I’ll do one each week. Each one will not neccisarrily be a “walk”, but each will be a dedicated attempt to go out and capture something with my camera. For instance, I will not consider a chance snapshot of a bear while I’m driving to work a photowalk, but I will count my workshops I have booked already, my bringing my camera out sledding with the family etc. As long as I’m intentionally taking my camera with me to take pictures, it can count.
I have images from my first one to post, they’re currently importing into Lightroom. They will appear on my flickr page in the very near future.
Until then – have fun clicking, I know I will.
